This "speedtest" is resident on a server at the headend of our network. Thus, for AireBeam customers, this "speedtest"  tests  the portion of the internet for which AireBeam is responsible and manages.

If you run a "speedtest" on any other server, the difference between the "speedtest" on our server less the results of any other is the speed degradation attributable to traffic on the public Internet.
To evaluate your speed, which is worst case tested up & down at the same time, add your download speed to your upload speed. If you are purchasing 2mbps down, the sum of your down+up should be close to or slightly over 2mbps.
 In actual use when downloading videos or software, 99% of your pipe is being consumed by the incoming traffic to your PC and 1% is being used by upload for acknowledgements to download server.
